Snowmen at Night
Fourth Grade students learned about using value to do shading and created these beautiful snowmen in pastel. The drawings were inspired by the book, Snowmen at Night, by Caralyn Buehner. The challenge was to take circles and turn them into spheres using value shading. Attention had to be paid to the direction of the light source, the moon, to create shadow in the picture. These pictures are part of our display for the Great Snowman Convention during the month of February.
