First and Second Grade Self-Portraits
First and Second Grade students viewed and discussed the self-portraits of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.They identified the facial features that the artist included in her paintings along with other details that showed something about her personality. Students then created their own self-portraits by looking at themselves in a mirror. Their self-portraits were drawn in crayon and marker.
