Art Lessons October/November

Our Salem Hyde students are currently working on these lessons:

6th Grade

Lesson: Sun Designs

Objective: Students will be able to use the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design to create a sun design inspired by Northwest Coast Native American art.



Lesson: One-Point Perspective Cityscape

Objective: Students will be able to create a painting of a cityscape demonstrating one-point perspective.



5th Grade

Lesson: Animals of the Rain Forest Biome Pastel Drawing

Objective: Students will be able to use pastel drawing techniques to create a drawing of an animal of the tropical rain forest biome.



4th Grade

Lesson: Audubon Birds

Objective: Students will be able to create a watercolor crayon resist painting of a bird.





3rd Grade

Lesson: Watercolor whales

Objective: Students will be able to use the Elements of Art and watercolor technique to create a watercolor painting.



2nd Grade

Lesson: Starry Night Watercolor Painting

Objective: Students will be able to create a watercolor resist painting using warm and cool colors and repetition of line and geometric shape.



1st Grade

Lesson: Landscape with Farm Animals

Objective: Students will be able to create a landscape painting of a farm using a horizon line, foreground and background.



Kindergarten

Lesson:  Pumpkins at Night

Objective:  Students will be able to create a picture of a pumpkin using drawing, painting and cutting skills.
