First grade students used the Art Elements of line shape and color to create a snowman picture in the style of Picasso.  Students used their creativity in response to the question, How would a snowman made by Picasso look?  In the beginning of the lesson, students viewed the painting, Three Musicians by Picasso and discussed how the artist showed people and objects in his picture. They then used squares and rectangles to compose their snowmen in the cubist style.
